God is showing Himself in amazing life changes to the body at Long Hollow Baptist Church, Hendersonville, Tennessee. On June 25, at our annual Camp Share Service (1,053 participated at our recent student summer camps), 141 were baptized – 124 scheduled and 17 additional before the evening was over – including families, children, and adults! Long Hollow knows to expect God to do big things and people do whatever they can to invite family and friends to summer camp and to the Camp Share Service every year.
Several stories were shared of how God worked in the lives of folks saved and baptized on this Wednesday night:
One young adult woman prayed fervently for God to soften the hearts of her two teenage brothers (still living in the family home struggling with substance abuse) toward the idea of camp, and, when they said, “yes,” excitedly drove the long trip to TX to get them, and both boys gave their lives to Christ at camp! One retired couple called the week of camp to ask if any other students needed scholarships to be able to go and when told help was needed for one student who just applied, eagerly gave and celebrated last night when the student was baptized following salvation at camp. One high school student was saved at camp 3 years ago, invited his teenage neighbor the next year who was saved, and they brought a friend this year who was also saved!
God is working one life at a time, in every sphere of influence, to invite us to share in others’ salvations!
