With the advent of new technology and communication tools almost every day now, our families are being targeted by pornography and immoral content like never before. Continuing our discussion from Sunday, we’ve found a few great resources to help your family stay pure and accountable online and in the living room.
In the Living Room
To help establish some boundaries when watching TV and movies with your family, there are a few easy steps you can take to help block questionable content before it reaches your family.
Most TVs purchased since the late 90s have technology built in called the “V-Chip.” Using this tool, parents and spouses can set a pin code that will block all content of a certain type unless that code has been entered by a trusted individual. More information can be found here.
Also, check the manual that came with your DVD player or video game console; most have parental control functions built in to block the playing of DVDs by specific MPAA rating.
