Here I Stand I can do no other… Nearly 500 years ago, a young monk and theologian named Martin Luther stood before an audience strong in tradition yet weak in truth and confessed that the Scriptures alone would define his reality. Little did he know that his confession would become the banner cry of a movement that would reform the church and invite millions to know and study God through experiencing Scripture. Just as in Luther’s day, there is a desperate need for students to experience Scripture. For an entire generation, reality has been shaped by messages from culture whether it be the internet, music or television. We are drowning in a sea of digital chaos, we jump up to read every text message, run to check our online profiles, rush to update the world on our latest comings and goings, only slowing down long enough to fall into hypnosis before a glowing screen. We read and respond to messages from all over the world yet ignore the message that God has sent us in His word. It is our goal to invite students to awaken to a new perspective and reality… God’s… and to discover the great change that will take place from downloading His message into their lives.
This year we will be doing Quest alongside Leadership Rocks. Leadership Rocks is an experience born out of the Student Leadership University organization. SLU, under the leadership, direction, and vision of founder and president Dr. Jay Strack, was established in 1994 with just a few students in an intensive cell group environment. Since that time, the scope of Student Leadership University has expanded to equip and empower more than 21,000 students to rise to the call of leadership. The primary commitment and dedication of Dr. Strack throughout the years has remained the development of unwavering leaders who are inspired to make a difference in their world.
You will be challenged and stretched to reach and exceed your potential with interactive, dynamic speakers and real world leadership systems.
