We have closed online registration for The Gift. We will take walk-up registrations on Saturday morning beginning at 8:30! If you have any questions or needs, email gretchen.saffles@longhollow.com or call the offices at 615-824-4006.

Each December at Long Hollow, one of our favorite things to do is offer a day of rest, relaxation, services, and gifts for the single mothers of our community. We know you work so hard in your homes and on the job, and we want you to know you are admired and appreciated!

The Gift happens on Saturday, December 1 this year and lasts from 9am-2pm. Fun activities of the day include a free breakfast and lunch, a fashion show, an information fair with doctors, nurses, nutritionists, lawyers, etc., and your choice of two of the following breakout sessions: massages, manicures, pedicures, hair cut, and clothes closet.

If you are a single mom, we hope you'll join us for a day of pampering, getting to know other single moms, and enjoying a couple of delicious meals - all on us! If you're a woman or a man who would like to participate by serving during this event, we would love to have you, as well (keep reading to find out how you can help)!

If you are interested in serving at The Gift this year, email Teresa Turbeville at teresaturbeville@gmail.com.

Wondering what this experience will really be like? Take it from some past-attenders!

"Five months after it became evident that I was going to be single again I was invited to come to this event. It took everything in me to step out and come, to say yes this is my life... I didn't choose it but nevertheless it is real. It was so hard to stand before others and say, "I need help... I need to be loved". Sad isn't it? You will never feel more loved and accepted than when you walk through the doors of Long Hollow into "The Gift". During my time there, God began to break down barriers that I didn't even know I had. From the speaker, to the pampering to the incredible food... I will never forget how I felt... loved and accepted! Ladies don't miss this. Step out, choose to be loved!"
-Teresa, The Gift Participant

"I cannot express how grateful all of us single moms are for this event. Pulling in the parking lot last year, tears came to my eyes as I was overwhelmed at how many men and women were there for US! I know many others felt the same way. I feel like I take care of others all day, every day and it was so nice to have a few hours to renew myself and my spirit!"
-Amy, The Gift Participant
