The Long Hollow Adoption Ministry is here to assist you in your Pre and Post Adoption needs. Our volunteers are here to guide you and help answer questions as you start your journey to adopting or fostering your new child.

Understanding the Need
- Between 118,000 and 127,000 children have been adopted in the U.S. every year since 1987.
- 143 million children in the world have lost one or both parents.
- More than 500,000 children are in the U.S. Foster Care System.
- More than 1/3 of Americans have seriously considered adopting, but no more than 2 percent have actually adopted.

Interested in Foster Care?
Caring and loving adults are needed to provide a supportive, safe and nurturing family setting. You would help abused and neglected children of all ages by providing parenting, guidance and understanding. This will help provide structure for children and help them to develop healthy social and daily living skills.
Who can become a foster family?
- Must be age 25 or older
- Must have sufficient income
- Must provide appropriate housing
- Be ready to give time and understanding
- Must complete background checks, home studies, references and training (we'll help with this!)
