A group at Long Hollow is a gathering of believers meeting the following criteria:
So, you can be in a group by being a part of ongoing on-campus or off-campus groups, or semester-based groups such as women's Bible studies, iMom, Celebrate Recovery step studies, DivorceCare, Long Hollow Men, or GriefShare.
The important thing is that you start doing life with other believers. At Long Hollow, you do that through groups.
You can choose your group based on your most pressing need. Some people are looking for fellowship and need an ongoing group that meets every week with no scheduled end date. Others are looking for biblical answers to specific questions or issues. They want a group that meets for a specific number of weeks about a singular subject or topic. You decide the kind of group that suits you best right now. You are under no obligation to stay in a group. So, give one a try. If it doesn't work for you, try something else. With almost 200 options, there is sure to be something that meets your needs.
On-campus groups meet in conjunction with worship on Sundays. These groups are ongoing and meet every week.
Off-campus groups meet from August through May with new groups forming throughout the year. Most off-campus groups meet in homes and the meeting days vary.
Long Hollow Men meets on Tuesday mornings from 6-7am in the Hendersonville Campus Student Building. This hour will includes fellowship, teaching, and discussion around tables. It is a men's group, so yes, there will be food and coffee!
Celebrate Recovery Step Studies meet on Wednesday nights and are designed to help you deal with your hurts, habits, or hang-ups. Because we all have issues, these studies are open to anyone.
DivorceCare and Grief Share walk you through some of the most challenging events we face. Through these ministries, people find healing and hope as they encounter God's love and compassion. Both classes meet on Sunday mornings with Grief Share also offered on Wednesday nights.
That's why it is important that you find a group that meets your needs. As your needs change, you can change groups. Find a small group to meet your needs by launching our GroupFinder tool.
