"I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!" Matthew 25:40
In the New Testament Matthew clearly illustrates the responsibility to care for the least of these. Those who are sick, hungry, unclothed. God has called us to be the father to the fatherless, to care for orphans in their distress.
The Love a L.O.T. ministry of Long Hollow Baptist church provides support and guidance for families in the adoption process. However, with an understanding that adoption alone will not solve the orphan crisis we seek to provide hope and resources for orphaned children who will not be united with forever families.
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. - Psalm 68:5-6
