Foster Care

Learn more about becoming a foster family.

holding hands

Caring and loving adults are needed to provide a supportive, safe and nurturing family setting. You would help abused and neglected children of all ages by providing parenting, guidance and understanding. This will help provide structure for children and help them to develop healthy social and daily living skills.

Who can become a foster family?
  • Must be age 25 or older
  • Must have sufficient income
  • Must provide appropriate housing
  • Be ready to give time and understanding
  • Must complete background checks, home studies, references and training (we'll help with this!)
How to Get Started

If you are interested in becoming a Foster/Resource Parent for Tennessee children, please call 1-877-DCS-KIDS, or request more information at the AdoptUsKids website.

Youth Villages provides foster care and transitional living for children. They also have a current waiting list of children who are ready to be adopted into permanent homes.

Jonah's Journey

Jonah's Journey ministers to children of incarcerated women. Families must be willing to provide short or long term care, up to a year, for infants born in the prison system. If you are interested in serving through this program please contact erica.ho@longhollow.com
