Please pray for my son who recently lost his job as a pipefitter due to a layoff. He and his new family have a 6 month old baby to support, and many bills. Please pray for God to open the doors to a better paying job with benefits, and one that will be more permanent. Also, please pray for the salvation of their entire family.

Here is an update on my mom - Gayle Shockey - from M. D. Anderson. She had another EKG on Tuesday and a TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiogram) yesterday. This is where they inserted a thin flexible tube with a special tip down her throat while being under sedation. The probe went behind her heart and was capable of determining what exactly is on the wall of her right ventricle. The doctors thought that the mass could either be a blood clot or tumor. The results of the TEE confirmed that there is a mass in her right ventricle but they are still unsure as to what it is. They have now scheduled her for a P.E.T. Cardiac Scan either today or tomorrow (Friday)...This will tell the doctors if the cells in the mass are active or dormant...Once this fact is known they will discuss the next course of treatment. Please pray that God will help me to fully catch up on Mr. D.S.'s class in school. There are several assignments that I need to catch up on, and I'm finding them very difficult. Please pray that God will help me to do his assignments quickly and accurately. Pray that he'll accept my late work. Also, pray that I'll prepare well for the finals, and that I'll do well on them, and that I'll finish well. Also, I've been feeling exhausted, depressed, and it's hard to concentrate--pray for that, and that I'll sleep well at night. I'm sending this to several prayer chains--pray that everywhere I send it, God will draw powerful prayer warriors to pray for this--I need God to answer.

Please pray that I make the right decision regarding a lifelong friend. I need him to get help with his alcoholism, but don't even know where to start. He is not willing to admit he has a problem. Please pray that he realizes his bad decisions are not only hurting himself, but his family and friends.

Please pray for my husband and I. This last year has been very stressful for our first year of marriage with the loss of a family member, loss of our jobs, and the selling of our family home. We are holding to our faith and each other and are prayerful that things will change soon.

Please pray for my aunt Esta Wheeler. I just found out last night from my mom that she has brain cancer. The doctors are trying to find out where the cancer originated from. It has come from somewhere else in her body. That usually means it has spread from somewhere else in her body to her brain. Please pray the God be with Esta and all my family during this very hard time in her life. Thank you.

Mom (Cheryl McAdams) and I stayed the night at the hospital. Please pray that God will give my Granny rest. She is beyond miserable. She's only slept for 5 of the past 48 hours. The doctor said that she's at a point that she'll either start to improve or will get much worse. He said we need to be prepared that she may not make it.

Please put my good friends Ed and Joy Blount of Harvest, AL on our prayer list. Joy is going in for her 3rd surgery this year on Oct 25 at Crestwood Hospital in Huntsville. She will be out of commission for 2 weeks. She’s very concerned since this is her 3rd surgery this year. Thanks, Ed
