Webster defines “calling” as “A divine summons, or prompting to a particular act or duty.” One of the dangers of the church today is the “consumer mentality”. The church is not about being served, it is about serving. We were saved not to sit, but to serve God with fulfillment and fruitfulness.

The first step toward discovering your calling is to discern how He has designed you. (i.e. your strengths and passions) Once you know your unique God-given design, you can then discover the difference He planned for you to make with your life.

To help you accomplish these steps, we have partnered with Serving Central Ministries so you can assess your God-given strengths and passions online and start expressing them in ministry here.

To take advantage of this great tool, you will need to contact Rob Holcomb, Minister to Volunteers to get a code for access to the spiritual gift assessment. Then you will need to go to http://www.servingsweetspot.com and be sure to select Long Hollow Baptist Church from the Home Church drop-down menu so you can search and sign-up for ministries in our church.
